About the Report

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there has been a concerted effort from public sector organisations to mature their digital skills in an attempt to unlock greater value from their data. Indeed, the Government’s National Data Strategy described how the UK’s response to the coronavirus pandemic has powerfully illustrated the potential benefits of data.

Our latest survey, based on the results of more than 300 public sector organisations, reveals a widespread interest in new technological innovations across the public sector, and overwhelming confidence that IT teams have the necessary skills to extract increasing value from their data. Yet, forty-five percent of respondents said they’re not confident that they can safely and easily share data to effectively collaborate with partners and other agencies.
