UKCloud are looking for passionate Infrastructure or DevOps Engineers to join our OpenShift team. As part of a multi-skilled team you will be responsible for the ongoing support and development of UKCloud’s OpenShift platforms on behalf of multiple customers across various platforms, regions and security domains. This will involve ongoing development of the automated platform deployment and maintenance code, testing of integrations with new services, support of new customers as they start to use the platform and existing customers as they mature their usage.
Working in an agile way, you will get the opportunity to help drive the direction of the OpenShift product, from the underlying platform it’s deployed onto all the way through to the final configuration of each cluster.
You will be able to work to the mantra of Infrastructure as Code and automation by default, as everything we do at UKCloud we do in an automated and repeatable fashion.
Deliver and support secure, performant and scalable cloud platforms
Design and build awesome new features to support our customers
Develop and build code to maintain production systems
Test new service integrations, and build the code that deploys these integrations
Provide customer guidance on how to use the latest features through blog posts, how-tos and direct customer calls/workshops.

Key Skills (Don’t worry if you don’t meet all of these, UKCloud will help you grow);
Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of designing/operating/maintaining highly available systems.
Experience of configuration management tooling like Ansible/Puppet/Chef/Terraform
Scripting with Python, Bash, Go or similar languages and source code control like Git.
Experience of working with containers (Docker or any other container runtime)
Understanding of container orchestration technologies – Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker Swarm/Cloud Foundry
Experience of OpenStack or other similar cloud infrastructure platforms (from a user/basic administration perspective).
Excellent communications skills - verbal, written and presentation.
Strong desire to learn new skills.
Experience of working at a Cloud Service Provider
Experience of designing/deploying/maintaining OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Experience of managing and using Red Hat Satellite
Expertise in Python, Terraform or Ansible
Experience of working with CI pipelines such as Jenkins
