Working as an integral member of a highly performing sales team, you will help the client management team promote the use of UKCloud’s Assured UK sovereign cloud services. You will help customers design solution which are scalable and resilient but not over-engineered, ensuring that the customer’s business requirements are met and that they are realising true value from Cloud services.
The role provides an opportunity to work with truly self-service, pay as you go Cloud Infrastructure and Private Cloud services. As well as developing existing knowledge in enterprise technologies such as VMware & Windows Server, there are opportunities to learn digital technologies such as Openshift and Openstack. There is also the opportunity to work with customers who develop their own software rather than deploy commercial off the shelf applications.
Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of working at a technical level with the more security focussed areas of the public sector, and have an appreciation of the challenges of working in those areas. In addition, you must be both comfortable leading and producing technical responses to tenders supported by a wider bid team and progressing opportunities on your own in collaboration with the potential customer.
Good knowledge and understanding of Cloud Computing – IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
Good knowledge and understanding of typical Enterprise Infrastructure – virtualisation, networking, storage
Knowledge & experience of the UK Public Sector especially defence, policing or national security
DevOps or Software Development Knowledge – Infrastructure as Code etc
Experience of working in or leading a bid team from a technical perspective
Strong presentation skills (interactive with Whiteboard preferably)
Hands on experience designing and / or running production systems in a virtual platform
Commercial experience representing a company in meetings with senior customer stakeholders
Ability to work on multiple opportunities or projects at the same time
Strong communication and influencing skills
You must hold DV clearance or be prepared to undergo DV clearance
