The Client Technology Consultant role will work with target clients to invigorate their technology roadmap, collaborate with other C-level executives to use technological innovations and to help steer the client toward its strategic aims. The Client Technology Consultant provides strategic advisory and guidance to clients, with resulting acceleration and enablement of key technology initiatives, that will strengthen the position of UKCloud as a Trusted Partner.
Develop technical aspects of a customer strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals and positioning of UKCloud & partner-based solutions where it is appropriate to do so
Analysis of technological trends to build & refine a strategy that yield a competitive advantage for the client
Help client departments use technology profitably and efficiently, broadening the contact base within the organisation
Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess and improve technological performance, and prove ROI for UKCloud & partner-based solutions
Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology and the UKCloud account/segment strategy
Relationship development at CxO level to advise and influence, establishing trusted partner status and bring intelligence inhouse to refine account/segment strategy
Achieve pull-through revenue by positioning valuable, appropriate UKCloud &/or partner-based solutions to address client needs
CSAT / NPS scoring with the client organisation, and their willingness to provide references
Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role for 5 years+, ideally within Public Sector and/or CTO within SI delivering into Public Sector
Proven management experience of large technical teams (more than 15)
A solid track record of designing, developing and delivering robust, stable, timely technological solutions to meet a business's needs, recognising and adapting solutions based on commercial implications.
Knowledge of technological trends to build & refine strategy, with particular experience across cloud and digital, including knowledge and experience of hyperscaler platforms AWS, Azure and Google.
Understanding a client's business and showing strong commercial acumen
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills particularly at CxO level, including strong writing and presentation skills
Consulting track record desirable with experience & network within the public sector
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
Ability to conduct technological analysis & research, and understand & track trends relevant to public sector e.g. disaggregation, civil service reform etc
Understanding of budgets and business-planning
Proven leadership and organisational abilities
