We currently have an exciting new opportunity within UKCloud for an Active Directory Architect to create own and oversee the implementation of identity management and an active directory strategy. The role is to provide technical direction and oversight across the UKCloud technology stack, this role sits within UKCloud's OCTO and works closely with our CISO to ensure securely across the solution.
Evaluate current Active Directory architecture, consider scaling issues and make recommendations for continual improvement.
Ensure we are following best practice for AD and Windows Security.
Work with Technical Architects to improve processes with regards to AD and Windows Security, allowing least privilege access and embedding automation where possible.
Upskilling team members to bring Identity Management, Active Directory and Windows knowledge and skills up to date.
Measuring Key Performance Indicators and reporting for compliance and auditing purposes
Assisting with and designing the automation of Windows Active Directory Administration (e.g. improving employee onboarding process).
Proactively design and lead future Active Directory new features, capabilities and migration activities where required e.g. Windows Server 2016 to 2019.
Understand new business requirements and how those requirements should be considered for future AD strategy and migrations.
Test and release any GPOs required according to hardening guides.
Lead the selection and proof of concept of tools that could better support and manage AD.
Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, GPO, LDAP, Kerberos, Delegation, Replication) design and implementation at scale.
Experience with PowerShell to manage AD (e.g. create groups, OUs, accounts, assign permissions etc.) with the ability to obtain and report on required metrics.
Maintaining security, standards and high availability of AD architecture
Strong Active Directory and Group Policy Object experience
Experience with complex Active Directory Domains
5+ years demonstrable Active Directory experience in a multi domain environment
Excellent Windows Server experience and knowledge · Single-Sign on solution integration, specifically Red Hat SSO
Experience with RSA 2FA Solutions
Strong understanding of Public Key Infrastructure, cryptographic technologies, and standards
