Would it be possible to reverse the redirection so that portal.skyscapecloud.com directs to portal.ukcloud.com and vcd.potal.ukcloud.com as you are still showing your legacy naming in the URL bars.

Service credits should be automatically forthcoming based on the curent status of an MI. The service credit for a service should stat as soon as the MI is called and end as soon as the MI is resolved.

In addition, a rolling 12 month average uptime for each service should be prominently displayed and if that dips below a certain level then service credits should apply.

The end customer should not have to apply for the service credits nor be subject to arbitrary deadlines.

As we have quite a few VMs on your platform, we have noticed there are a number of issues with the current billing information as served by the portal & portal API:
    1) Historical data older than a month is not available - Ideally up to 3 months of data should be available
    2) VM price is not itemised
    3) The price needs to be broken down by compute / storage
    4) Optimised storage is not included in the price
    5) Licensing is not included (e.g SQL / MS)
    6) Bandwidth info is missing
    7) The billing CSV does not always reconcile with the API my_vms data

I've seen the Blueprint in the knowledge base to run a scheduler on a seperate VM to turn VMs on and off but have not been able to get this to work as the software seems to want to work with older .NET frameworks which are no longer available. It also seems quite complicated to set up and requires another VM.

It would be useful in the properties for each VM if we could schedule ON and OFF times, day by day if possible, so weekends can be seperated from the weekdays.

As a large user of multiple cloud service platforms there is a huge gap in the UKCloud billing structure. Most other providers offer significant discounts in return for guaranteed commitment of 1, 2 or 3 years. The benefit to UKCloud is guaranteed commitment and resource allocation, it also ties customers in to contract in this highly competitive market. A near perfect example of this is Amazon EC2 reserved instances.

It would be really nice to have some API or notification system that would allow your customers to check the status of backups, whether they have succeeded or failed (with a reason).

The API could then be used by customers to write automated checks and tie it in to their monitoring system.

    Hi there

I have just signed up for this channel. A couple of things:

    1. There are browser compatibilty issues, the captcha doesn't display correctly on IE11

    2. Although the captcha does load in Chrome, I think there are better Captcha's out there rather than the 'type the two words from the blurred photos'

    3. The sign-up form itself seems to feel badly formed - too much white space at the beginning of each entry field

    3. Ideally I would have preferred to have signed in using the credentials I use to access our assets on the UKCloud platform - Single sign on model rather than having to create a new user and password for the ideas portal

    Many hanks
    Keith

Have you thought about having a survey for new customers and a separate one for existing customers in order to get an idea on what can be improved? I would also like to share experiences on a forum.

Have you considered adding Desktop as a Service in the next G-Cloud?
