UKCloud Takes Home Two Awards at the UK Cloud Awards

Assured cloud services provider named Best G-Cloud Service Provider and Best Cloud Service Provider

London – March 16, 2017 – UKCloud, the easy to adopt, easy to use and easy to leave assured cloud services company, was announced as the winner of two awards at the UK Cloud Awards at a ceremony in London on Wednesday 15th March. UKCloud was awarded the Best G-Cloud Service Provider and Best Cloud Service Provider accolades in recognition of its work in supporting cloud adoption and the digital transformation of services in the UK’s public sector.

The UK Cloud Awards prides itself on the celebration of innovation, entrepreneurialism and technical excellence in the UK Cloud IT industry. Now in their fourth year, the awards are jointly run by the Cloud Industry Forum and Cloud Pro.

“With G-Cloud 9 now open and sales through G-Cloud reaching £1.8 billion this is a serious market. Congratulations to UKCloud for its excellent work in this area.” Max Cooter, contributing editor at Cloud Pro and lead UK Cloud Awards judge, commented: “UKCloud won thanks to its innovative thought leadership and approach to cloud services. It’s great to have a company that puts the UK into the UK Cloud Awards, demonstrated by winning two awards at this year’s event.”

“To win two awards at this year’s UK Cloud Awards is the cherry on the cake, following our rapid growth and success in the past year,” said Simon Hansford, CEO of UKCloud. “As an organisation, we’re wholly committed to supporting the UK public sector as it adopts cloud services, and it’s encouraging to see that our dedication and innovation in this field has been recognised by the industry.”

Since its launch on the debut G-Cloud Framework in 2012, UKCloud has gone from strength to strength; the organisation now works with more than 200 partners that are able to leverage UKCloud’s accredited and UK sovereign platform to bring their services to the public sector market. The organisation has experienced rapid growth over the past five years, winning high-profile public sector contracts with HMRC, the Home Office and the Ministry of Justice, to name a few. A socially responsible organisation which donates significant resources to charity via the UKCloud Foundation, the company announced its tenth consecutive wave of price cuts early this year, setting it apart as an advocate of affordable, flexible and open public sector digitalisation.

Hansford added: “We remain focused on providing the best possible customer service to our public sector clients, and are fully dedicated to improving our platform in alignment with the evolving requirements of the public sector.”

“UK Cloud is everything a cloud provider should be,” Max Cooter added: “innovative but without losing sight of the principle that customers are at the heart of everything. Its strength in the public sector and its British roots meant that the company was a clear winner in both cloud service provider and G-Cloud categories – a rare double.”

These latest accolades follow UKCloud’s win in the latest Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100, which ranks Britain’s fastest growing private technology companies based on sales over the last three years.
