UKCloud has been awarded a place on all of the Technology Services 2 lots: 1, 2, 3, 4a and 4b – Above Official.
London – 6th September 2017 – UKCloud, has been awarded a place on the innovative Technology Services 2 (TS2) framework agreement. With its most extensive ever portfolio of cloud platforms and services already available to its public sector customers through G-Cloud 9, UKCloud is complementing this wide choice of offerings with further procurement options by extending its service capabilities to TS2 as well.
Offering flexible routes to market, whilst ensuring ‘value for money’ for government buyers, TS2 is expected to be a popular means of sourcing technology services and transformational support, in line with government policy and strategy. The framework introduces enhanced flexibility as well as providing the right supplier market for its customers and a healthy pipeline of opportunities for its suppliers. TS2 has an estimated value of between £1bn and £3bn.
“Capitalising on years of experience working for our UK public sector customer base via G-Cloud, we are now offering our customers an alternative compliant procurement route, which is underpinned by commercial terms which some customers may prefer” said Simon Hansford, CEO of UKCloud. “Our services are uniquely designed to meet the needs of the UK public sector, and we also have exceptional compliance, service performance and support credentials. With more ways to engage with our customers, UKCloud is even better able to support public sector business transformation, as we continue to save money for the tax-payer while enabling public sector organisations to succeed in ‘doing more for less.’”
The TS2 framework agreement comprises 4 lots: Strategy and service design, Transition and transformation, Operational services and Programmes and large projects. The final one (Lot 4) is sub-divided into Official, and “Above Official” (secret and Above). Suppliers successful in Lots 1, 2 and 3 are automatically awarded a place on Lot 4a (Official) and may be awarded a place on Lot 4b (Above Official) if they can successfully evidence their “Above Official” capability. UKCloud, which specialises in high assurance, highly secure cloud services for the public sector, has been awarded a place on all the TS2 lots, including Lot 4b.
QinetiQ is a key UKCloud sub-contractor on TS2, bringing unparalleled knowledge and experience in working at Above Official on UK government projects and workloads. James Willis Managing Director of QinetiQ’s Cyber Information & Training business explained: “QinetiQ and UKCloud have worked collaboratively throughout the TS2 bid process to pool our expertise and experience and we believe that there will be strong demand for a unique combined capability.”
UKCloud has already committed to delivering more for less on G-Cloud 9, recently offering further cost reductions across its service catalogue. From 6th September 2017, customers will also be able to benefit from UKCloud’s highly competitive pricing via TS2.
