We are delighted to have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crown Commercial Service (CCS) – providing further evidence of our commitment to the One Government Cloud Strategy (OGCS) and our innate desire to do the right thing. Everything we do, we do to help save the taxpayer money.

But how will this agreement benefit public sector organisations for years to come?

Well, first and foremost, it represents better value. Unlike other public cloud providers, we are committed to providing all our costs in GBP to help protect our customers from currency fluctuations. And better still, we have introduced a tiered discounting system whereby – as and when we grow – we will pass discounted savings to our customers through economies of scale.

Next, we have choice. As the only UK sovereign, multi-cloud vendor on the OGCS, we provide an alternative to the proprietary environments offered by the hyperscalers. Migrate legacy workloads to the cloud using familiar, trusted technology or develop new, cloud-native applications using OpenStack or OpenShift. All with direct access to government networks – HSCN, Janet, PSN and RLI – and capable of hosting ABOVE OFFICIAL workloads.

Last and by no means least we have social value. We are proud to provide the underlying technology that allows over 300 SMEs to take their solutions to public sector markets – helping rid the burden of having the maintain a sprawling number of internal applications. Also, having been carbon neutral for the past 9 years, under this MoU we are committed to becoming carbon negative.
