Programme Support Analyst

Undergraduate Opportunities (12-month fixed-term contract)

We are seeking applicants who are studying a Business Management related course (or similar) to join or Programme team, helping us to organise, monitor and achieve the best value from the many projects running in UKCloud.

As a company, we commit to the use of agile (especially Scrum and Kanban, but also at a Programme level) in our work and employ modern engineering principles in the teams. You won’t see the heavy-weight paperwork of a Prince II, MSP or similar method; instead we believe strongly that ‘just enough’ planning and timely risk-treatment provides better outcomes and far less waste and inaccuracy in delivery.

Whether we call them Projects, a Programme or a Portfolio, the fact remains that there are often 10 or more active technology or software deliverables in flight at UKCloud. Those deliverables interleave, depend on each other and compete for resource so making decisions and acting on issues is critical in getting the outcomes we need.

As a Programme Support Analyst you will have a diverse workload, including:

  • Helping to orchestrate teams, making sure they are effective
  • Business Analysis activity to help initiate projects
  • Measurement and presentation of performance data (project KPIs) to recommend courses of action
  • Help improve processes and methods within the team
  • Provide administrative support in the meetings, events and reviews in pursuit of our goals

What we do isn’t easy, but it is rewarding and you will be treated and be expected to act like a full member of our team.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, accuracy in written communications
  • Self-motivated, and hungry for new experiences, skills and knowledge
  • Good analytical skills, including ability to correlate data and present meaningful summaries
  • Able to undertake data analysis using database or spreadsheet software
  • Ability to manage a variable workload, prioritising and timekeeping being key skills
  • An understanding of the development / project lifecycles and any exposure to agile very helpful

Other Information

  • Satisfactory references from your course tutors
  • Excellent results and grades in your assessments and examinations to date
  • This role will be based at the Company’s offices in Farnborough, Hampshire
  • UKCloud is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates
  • Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK and will be required to successfully undergo Security Clearance
