Summary

Here at UKCloud, we’re searching for a visionary technologist who will lead the evangelism of one of the most successful cloud platforms in the UK.

To be successful, we’re looking for a professed evangelist, some who can lead and orchestrate clear and compelling articulation of UKCloud products to key stakeholders. You must have a comprehensive understanding of the demands of cloud consumers across UK public sector and how UKCloud compares with competitive solutions as this will drive the development of a compelling roadmap and clear collateral.

Creative, articulate, agile and an understanding of customers is key along with a willingness to travel 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

Product Evangelism – be the foremost authority on our products, delivering presentations at events, attending meetups & hackathons and taking every opportunity to influence key stakeholders across our various communities. You will be our visionary, influencing our strategy and execution.

Collateral Development – build and deliver compelling sales and marketing collateral which clearly articulates the value of the UKCloud products and proposition. Assist in localising this messaging for specific communities within UK public sector and across our partner ecosystem.

Competitive Planning – develop and maintain a comprehensive insight as to the strengths and weaknesses of UKCloud competitive solutions via a documented Compete Plan used to influence product/capability development

Market intelligence – be the expert on our buyers, how they buy (e.g. G-Cloud) and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to win against them

Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for our products

Influence and articulate the Product Roadmap – use your comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and competitive positioning to influence product development plans, input into programme management and articulate to customers and partners where our products are heading

Skills/Experience

Essential

Very strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).

Willing to travel across the UK at least 50% of the week

Excellent people and leadership skills and experience with the gravitas to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Commercially savvy, with experience of developing repeatable solutions

Skilled and experienced in developing professional social networks via social media, meet-ups, and events

Experience of the IT sales cycle

Knowledge and awareness of the UK cloud public sector market

Desirable

Experience as a Technologist or Evangelist

Experience working within an IT service provider or using 3rd party IT services

Deep expertise of cloud-based products especially IaaS or PaaS
