Product Managers

Our Product Managers are responsible for the development of our products and act to make the end-to-end experience compelling for our Customers. Product Managers actively negotiate with stakeholders and seek to provide clarity and leadership and are therefore highly visible working across the whole business.
Successful candidates will have deep product management experience and be able to share with us their experience of defining requirements and driving through to delivery. You’ll be disciplined, organised and highly self-motivated to share knowledge and deliver. Your customer focus goes without saying.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively focus on the development of aligned products to achieve the greatest customer and business value / success possible within relevant organisational constraints
• Maintain a prioritised backlog of changes and developments for aligned products, balancing the needs of service owners and wider stakeholders.
• Oversee the achievement of teams involved end-to-end in delivery to ensure that valuable, rounded product development milestones are delivered
• Maintain a publishable roadmap of planned changes to aid in communication with stakeholders
• Maintain strong relationships with Proposition Leads, service owners and wider stakeholders to help negotiate, and facilitate the work needed to achieve service outcomes
• Be available and decisive when working with delivery teams as Product Owner. Help educate them with the best possible information and enable those teams to progress
• Provide stakeholders with visibility of aligned product development position and momentum, for example regular KPIs, the Product Flightdeck and quarterly product review sessions
• Own the Service Description and supporting service entitlement documentation for aligned products focusing on clarity of what the product does/n’t do

Skills and Experience

• Evidential experience of making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Commercially minded, with experience in product management of customer facing IT products
• Experienced in translating ideas/concepts into workable solutions with a clear roadmap and strategy to achieve them
• Good understanding of product development practices to interpret and drive the highest value outcomes
• Experience working with and prioritising demands of a range of stakeholders at differing levels of seniority
• Experienced making hard and prompt decisions to ensure that the business has the best opportunity possible to succeed
• Able to influence and guide others to make changes and take action without direct line authority
• Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation) and interpersonal skills

Desirable experience

• Hands-on experience as a Product Owner within an agile team, skilled in the clear definition of features and user stories
• Strong experience of Agile/Scrum methods
• Exposure to the full software development lifecycle including architecture, design, testing and delivery
• Exposure to Cloud-based products, IAAS, SAAS or PAAS
