About the Role

Fantastic opportunities within this newly created Operations Centre team for a NOC Associate based within our technical operations team. Part of a 24/7 shift, this team delivers a critical role in maintaining our platforms by making sure that we act to stay in top condition. The team maintains a keen eye for what’s happening and exhibit an urgency to act professionally and decisively when events come through.

Key Responsibilities

Your activities will be driven by a Checklist and Incoming Calls/Emails which will include:

  • Checking and responding to Customer emails/calls
  • Logging Call Records in our ticketing tool.
  • Tracking progress of the Call Records
  • Working through the Call Records
  • Logging on to servers
  • Checking jobs
  • Investigating failures
  • Recording your findings
  • Applying fixes
  • Completing reports that reflect the success rates of jobs.

Other tasks and responsibilities will be given as necessary which may not at present be recognised but will ensure the successful operation of the company where flexibility is paramount.

The NOC Associate is a Shift role that includes Night, Weekend and Bank Holiday working covering a five-week rota. You will also be required to be part of an informal standby rota.

Skills and Experience

  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word)
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Attention to Detail and to be Self-Motivated to learn and improve your own skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and new skills into practice to meet and exceed performance targets, report accurately and meet deadlines.

Knowledge/experience of the following is advantageous:

  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Experience with helpdesk tools within an ITIL environment.
  • Disciplined, organised and self-motivated.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Good GCSE qualifications
