We’re looking for experienced DevOps engineers who thrive on successfully delivering complex infrastructure automation projects and have lots of ideas and enthusiasm to help UKCloud’s customers succeed.
This role will be customer-facing so your communication and presentation skills will be solid, and you’ll be comfortable with travelling to customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, Maintain & Contribute to Open Source that UKCloud customers can use to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration
- Build interesting demonstrations and blueprints of new technology which benefits UKCloud customers
- Attend and community events and meetups and provide feedback
- Build relationships with DevOps engineers from UKCloud’s customer and partner community
- Run enablement workshops with UKCloud customers and partners helping them learn new DevOps style techniques such as automated infrastructure deployment, configuration management and continuous deployment
- Present interesting & relevant topics at community and UKCloud events
Skills/Experience
- Using & programmatically controlling IaaS Clouds (e.g. EC2 / Azure / OpenStack / vCloud Director)
- Platforms (e.g. Heroku / Cloud Foundry)
- Containerisation (e.g. Docker)
- Scripting Languages (e.g. Ruby / Python)
- Compiled Languages (e.g. GO / C / Java)
- Configuration Management (e.g. Puppet / Chef Ansible)
- Continuous Integration (e.g. Jenkins / Travis CI)
- Source Code Management (e.g. GIT / SVN)
