Fantastic new opportunities for experienced business analysts to join our fast moving and growing company in Farnborough. These roles will be based within the development team and familiarity with Agile practices (SCRUM) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that business processes are documented and support the solution architecture
- Identification and qualification of requirements for software (primarily) and infrastructure systems
- Prioritisation of requirements with system/infrastructure business owners
- Validate that user stories/acceptance criteria and other necessary artefacts meet the needs of delivery teams
- As necessary deputise for system/infrastructure Product Owner(s)
- Develop the capabilities of an Analysis and User Experience (UX) Team function in support of Programme and Software Engineering objectives
Skills/Experience
- Experienced Business Analyst who has completed several projects and at least one at a senior level in large scale programme (> 100 person) OR as a senior member of a pan-enterprise project with a medium size company
- Will have worked with UX designers to identify the customer journey and associated UX and be fully aware of the value that UX adds to the usability and desirability of delivered software
- Will be able to demonstrate a range of techniques for gathering and presenting requirements, with an emphasis on visual communication methods
- Will be able to describe and use a number of techniques to capture and record process flows and requirements
- Familiar with Agile practices (SCRUM) and will have worked as a member of an Agile Team for a minimum of one year.
- Will be experienced at turning requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria
- Familiar with requirements and backlog management software (eg JIRA)
- Will be able to show a broad understanding of commercial matters; able to describe and give examples of different business models and scenarios
- Although this is not a technical role, the post holder must be comfortable working with technical teams and able to show that can grasp some key technical concepts. A technical background in Software Development and/ or Infrastructure is highly desirable
- Line management experience of a small team is highly desirable
